I rode into Ceduna and, for the first time in a week, went to a supermarket. I bought some food, glad for the variety. Then I continued on.

The Outback
From Norseman the road heads out into the outback, with 1200km to the next town. This section of road is often referred to as the Nullarbor, but really it skirts the southern edge of the true Nullarbor plain, only briefly crossing it.

Now that I’d left the Munda Biddi, the road I cycled was quiet, and quite narrow. There wasn’t room for vehicles to pass each other without going onto the gravel on the side. There were only about ten vehicles an hour, and most moved over.

Last time I arrived in Australia, I didn’t stay long. (Note: I’m going back and uploading the last couple of posts from Africa, a few months late.)
I cycled out of Lome and cycled beside the beach for about ten kilometres before reaching the Ghanaian border.
